Minyenya FC from North Kamagambo defeated Baptist from North Kamagambo 5-4 on penults in the third edition of the  Paul Abuor Open Tournament known as Rongo Youth Sports Project {RYSP} that was sponsored by Paul Abuor after settling for a 0-0 draw in normal time.

Minyenya walked home with a Trophy and Sh10000, Baptist who were the runner up walked home with Sh8000 while Komito from North Kamagambo who defeated Kameji FC also from North Kamagambo 1-0 for the third place play-offs also walked home with Sh5000. 

In the first semi-finals Minyenya FC Whipped Kameji FC 2-1 while in the second Semi’s Baptist FC Beat Komito FC 1-0.

Most Discilpined player was Harizon Okongo from Lwala FC while his team scooped the Most Disciplined award. 

Oddy Otada {Lwala FC}, Peter Mwaara {Baptist FC} and Otieno Ogecha {Kamito} all tied as the top scorer’s after scoring 3 goals each in the 10 team final event.

In the Netball Kuna Netball Team emerged the overall winner with 6 points and 14 goals followed by Sumba Netball team who tied on three points With Kamaji but Kameji had a goal superior difference as they had 14 goals three more than Kamaji’s 11, Lwala had no point and no goal.

Eight Teams have qualified for the Constituency Tournament namely Minyenya FC, Baptist FC and Kamito FC all from North Kamagambo, from East Kamagambo St. Dalmas, Ngodhe and Opapo FC have qualified while from West Kamagambo Kangeso and Rare are through.

Abuor who is a Kisumu based Businessman and Contractor said that he was sponsoring the tournament to give youths something to keep them busy so that they don’t engage in peer vice.
